    The tracks are rough, this is not super serious 4x4 but it's certainly not sedan territory either. The drive itself is rough but the scenery is spectacular. The walk through the wreckage is fascinating and quite surreal. Lots of information posts explaining what happened. The walk is quite uneven but not terribly hard going. There is a sloping section that you have to go back up but the track was in fair condition when I was there.

    Great adventure, like some others have said, it's rough in places, but is still worth the drive. You will need a high clearance 4x4 for some sections. Plan on spending the whole day as it is slow going, or spend the night in crisp mountain air camping within the National Park. The views are spectacular and the Bomber crash site is well worth the look. Stop off and have lunch at the a wall, but remember Just drive carefully as some sections of the road are narrow and twisty.
